Puteri Balqis Had Cancer
FELLOW artistes were taken aback by news that popular child
actress Puteri Balqis Azizi (pic), 11, has cancer, reported Metro
Ahad.
Actress and director Erma Fatima, who had worked with Puteri
Balqis on the 2015 drama Akulah Balqis, said she knew the girl to
be a strong person.
“It is very shocking. I pray that she has a smooth recovery and
will remain strong.

Actress Nabila Huda, who is also close to Puteri Balqis, was
surprised too.
“I knew that she has health problems because I have worked with
her since she was little,” she said.
“But I was shocked to hear she has cancer.”
Nabila, who is famed for her role as Maria in the hit film Munafik,
said she also prayed for Puteri Balqis’ recovery and hoped that her family
would be strong in facing the trial.
> The same newspaper also reported that a woman was finally
reunited with her five-year-old daughter, who was taken to Aceh, Indonesia, by
her ex-husband in March last year.
Suriani Ramli, 43, had enlisted the help of an NGO, Ikatan
Muafakat Amal Malaysia (Imam), which travelled to Aceh to convince the man to
return his daughter Safira Aliya Safiardi.
“Only God knows how happy a mother’s heart is when she gets to
be with her child after a long separation.
“Safira didn’t cry but she asked if we could return to our home
in Johor Baru to meet her siblings,” said Suriani.
Suriani, who suffers from a growth in her nose, went to Imam as
a last resort to get back her daughter.
